Hi! We’re Derek and Alyssa — proud Broad Ripple residents, parents, and the couple behind this whole thing. We didn’t grow up here, but after college, we found our way to Broad Ripple and never left. This neighborhood has a charm, energy, and community that made us fall in love with it — and now we’re raising our family here and putting down roots.

As many of our friends and favorite businesses began to migrate north, we started The Broad Ripple Report to share the very things that made us stay: the small businesses and restaurants doing amazing work, the can’t-miss local events and the community and diversity that make this area unique.

Through our weekly newsletter and growing directory website, our goal is to connect neighbors with small businesses, highlight local events and restaurants and be a small part in helping Broad Ripple grow while keeping its eclectic charm.
