Broad Ripple Report: 5 things to do this weekend in Broad Ripple

The sun is shining and Indy is electric. The Pacers are heading back to the Easter Conference Finals (BOOM BABY!) and the Indy 500 is right around the corner. It's the perfect May. But right here in Broad Ripple, the patios are packed, music is playing, and the weekend's shaping up to be a great one. Here are my top 5 things going on in Broad Ripple this weekend, May 16-18.

1. Broad Ripple Art Fair - Saturday & Sunday, 10 am - 5 pm

The 53rd OneAmerica Financial Foundation Broad Ripple Art fair returns to the Indy Art Center. Explore works from over 150 artists, enjoy live music curated by Indy Jazz Fest, and participate in interactive are actives. Food and beverages, including offering from Bier Brewery, will be available.

2. 54th & Monon Shops 8th Annual 500 Porch Party - Saturday

Join the 54th & Monon Shops for an evening of community fun celebrating the Indy 500. Enjoy local shopping, dining, and entertainment with a lively crowd and local flavor.

3. Broad Ripple Farmers Market - Saturday, 8am - Noon

Time to get the kids out of the house and grab a local brewed coffee and breakfast sandwich. The Broad Ripple Farmers market at Glendale Town Center (behind the Lowes) is packed with local produce, pastries, and plenty of samples to keep little hands busy. Do a couple of laps around and see all the vendors and count it as your workout.

4. Live Music at The Vogue - Friday & Saturday Nights

Friday: Grammy -winner Melanie Fiona bringing the should and R&B heat. Saturday: Amigo the Devil takes you on a musical journey of dark folk and alternative country. Events are 21+ and get your tickets at https://www.thevogue.com

5. Karaoke at 317 BBQ - Saturday - 6pm -9pm

What pairs better with great local brews and slow-smoked BBQ than watching your husband belt out Neon Moon by Brooks & Dunn like he’s on tour?

Karaoke night is back. Grab a beer and some BBQ and enjoy!
